How to Buy Nutrient Credits

Provide us with an email or telephone call with the following information: rough address, what county/city the project is in, and how many pounds of phosphorus you need.
After receiving that information we will send you an email with a phosphorus availability letter & our total price for the amount of phosphorus credits you need.
Once the project is approved by all the municipalities and regulatory agencies involved then that’s when we do the credit agreement between Virginia Nutrient Bank and yourself.
We will send all documents needed to complete the transaction (agreement & exhibits A, B, and C) to customer.
Once you receive the documents, all we need in return is a copy of the signed agreement and a check for the total cost of the credits you're buying.
Once we receive the signed agreement and check we then complete the paperwork, sign all documents we need to endorse, and then we email them to the customer and all the municipalities involved.
At that point the nutrient credit sale is complete and you are able to apply for your land disturbance permit.
Once the VSMP permit # is issued to the customer, we ask that you let us know what it is as we have to have that to submit Exhibit C to DEQ with the state fee for each credit purchase.
